About Our Tees: Feel the difference

Screen Printed

All our artists' and designers' exciting designs are lovingly printed on our tees using screen printing
- no heat transfers or digital printing here!

"What's so great about screen printing?" you may be thinking.
Screen printing has a list of advantages compared to heat transfer and digital printing, but the main one is: Quality.
Screen printing is a time and labor intensive process, but you can easily feel the difference when you "touch" and "feel" the image on the tee. Heat transfers will have that hard, "plastic" sort of feel, while digital printing fares just a little bit better. Screen printing, on the other hand, comes out on top: nothing is "added" on because the ink is actually embedded directly into the fabric. The result? A very smooth feel to the shirt that you just can’t get using the other methods. And that's why we use screen printing.

Waterbase Ink

Because we're such big fans of quality,
we also use waterbase ink in our screen printing process,
rather than the conventional plastisol ink.

Waterbase ink soaks into the threads, rather than just sitting on top,
and because of this, your shirt will feel super soft, you'll get brighter colors and
they won’t start cracking or peeling like plastisol ink.

As you would expect from a product bearing that name, plastisol ink contains plastic, most notably PVC and phthalates, substances that are facing a number of bans in other uses. Plastisol ink also tends to stick to the iron when you're ironing the shirt and because it contains plastic, will last forever when it eventually goes into a landfill somewhere. Using waterbase ink means that you can forget about the ironing problem and you'll be choosing a far greener option since waterbase ink breaks down with the cotton of the tee.

"So why doesn't everyone use waterbase ink?" you might ask? Well, waterbase ink is harder to work with compared to plastisol ink, but here at TeeDaily, we don't go down the easy, convenient route. With the help of our printing partner, Realthread, and their incredible waterbase ink, we're breathing energetic life into our artists' and designers' winning designs, offering you superb and top-quality tees in an environmentally-responsible manner.

100% Ring spun Cotton and NO Tags!

Sometimes, in the fashion world, they say you need to make a choice: Style or Comfort?
We believe that’s a false choice – at TeeDaily, you can have both!

Our shirts are made from 100% ring spun cotton. Because they've been spun, the cotton has a finer, lighter, softer thread and that translates to maximum comfort and breathability when you put on our tees. And guess what? Spinning the cotton makes it more compacted and that grants a huge measure of durability to our tees. Look, most of us live a fast-paced lifestyle – it's become a norm in the 21st century. What's the point of having clothes that can't kevep up with you? Our tees keep up with you, and ensure you’re always fully decked out with fashion-forward style - they’re durable and very easy to care for.

Oh, and on the matter of tags - don't you just hate it when you get a gorgeous tee but as soon as you put it on you can feel the annoying care-instructions tag chafing against your neck? Well, we hate that too! That's why, instead of putting a tag inside the shirt, we screen-print the care-instructions tag on the neck. How's that for combining style and comfort in one great package?

Shrinkage?

Our tees are made from 100% ring spun cotton (for maximum comfort), so they’re going to shrink a little when you wash them. You can minimize the shrinkage by avoiding heat in the washing and drying process – use cold water when washing and let them dry naturally on the clothesline outside. Washing with hot water and tossing them into the dryer will cause greater shrinkage. If you prefer to use the dryer, or it’s a rainy day out and you really want to wear the tee, try putting the dryer on low instead of high.

Size Chart

We're all about options when it comes to size - our artists and designers come up with such beautiful and funky designs for our tees that we want to make sure everyone has the chance to wear them!

One of the things that has always caused a bit of difficulty when you’re shopping online for clothes is the sizing problem. Sure you might think that you’ve scored a sweet piece to add to your collection, but when it finally comes in the post and you try it on, you realize that it's not the right fit.

Here's a great tip to ensure that you get the best possible size with our fantastic tees: Get your favourite T-shirt and a measuring tape. Measure the length, width and sleeve-length/shoulder-width and then compare those measurements to our size charts above. Choose the size that's the closest fit to your T-shirt's measurements. If you fall between two sizes, go for the bigger one to allow for shrinkage – your favourite T-shirt would have shrunk slightly over time as well.

So now that you've figured out your TeeDaily tee size and we’ve let you in on all the juicy secrets on how our tees are made, well, what are you waiting for?
